During my time spent in Auli, a huge chunk of it was being spent on the snow covered peaks. Although the want to photograph the daily lives of people that resided in Joshimath was no less. I walked with my camera for a long while, but it was difficult to get candid shots as I was an alien in the space, and with small kids running through the streets announcing the arrival of a "cameraman" didn't necessarily help my case.
 
The sun started to set and I realized I'd have to head back to my lodge, just then came across aa moment of stillness where an old man walked across the street, almost as if gliding. Maybe that was my 'too mesmerized to click moment', yes for a moment I froze with the though of a beautiful landscape presenting itself in the heart of the streets. The man walked without even having a single glance at the magnanimous landscape, almost unbothered yet leaving my image incomplete if it wasn't for him. For me the image layered into what came first on this huge earth of ours, a generation image that one would take with family, only here the three subjects were the mountains, then the man and lastly the structures created by man.
